Treating the Childhood Bipolar Controversy: A Tale of Two Children
In to daylights day and age, raising tykeren still faces all the same obstacles and challenges that it did years ago. Parents mustiness navigate there children thru t stop overer youthful years with, love, encouragement, consistency, and support. What is a parent supposed to do when they pay a child that refuses to obey? I do not mean a temper tantrum or talking back; I mean when your child has impulsive, uncontrollable behavior, and they threaten a pretend to themselves or others. This uncontrollable behavior raises controversy today on how to diagnose these problems. Much speculation has been put over pediatricians, and whether they over -diagnose mental illnesses such as ADHD, and Bi Polar Disorder, or even diagnose these illnesses properly. In the journal article, Treating the Childhood Bipolar Controversy: A Tale of Two Children, the article unveils the bill of two young males, both elementary age, and there medical checkup history of both ADHD, and Bipolar disorder. These young men inject across as two youngsters that are battling life, and the illness that they have make most simple tasks a challenge.
In the fol scurvying I would like to share there story, and how they were able to end up on the right road.
To begin, Seth and Eric both ten years of age were battling severe mental illness. Both male childs had a question of ADHD and or Bipolar disorder. Attention deficit hyper activity disorder (ADHD)-A disorder marked by inattention, impulsiveness, a low tolerance for frustration, and a great deal of inappropriate activity (Feldman, 416). Bipolar Disorder- A disorder in which a mortal alternates between periods of euphoric feelings of mania and periods of depression (Feldman, 407).
