What is schoolplace personnel? According to OSHA.com, workplace violence is violence or the threat of violence against workers. It can occur at or outside the workplace and can range from threats and oral abuse to physical assaults and homicide, one of the go oning causes of job think deaths. (www.osha .com). Regardless of how workplace violence exhibits itself in todays society, the ever-present concern lies directly onto employers and employees. The basis of this paper is to consider on the analysis of the Forbes article (When Snitches Get Stiches), and to incorporate the by-line questions: which type heights-risk employee is most likely to respond in the way the Forbes article presented?, what is the best way to handle a snitch or retaliator, and finally, what strategies would one recommend to block off the possibility of workplace violence?
In reference to McClures book, Risky Business: Managing Employee Violence in the Workplace, McClure establishes ad hoc categories for high risk employees in relation to workplace violence. Moreover, McClure elucidates high risk classifications stemming from job related occurrences. In my opinion, the workaholic policy may fit the profile given in the Forbes article.
