One method was to drop ideas of biology to prove women the weaker sex when compared to men. Kraditor's book provides the ideas, tactics, and methods of a handful of suffragist leaders who fought the ideas and institutions that prevented equation for women. Kraditor maintains that as early as 1848, suffragists drafted a "Declaration of Sentiments" that protested the alleged inferiority of women. Women attacked the cause finished a state-by-state manner.
